Margaret is a producer with bases in Buenos Aires, London and Melbourne. She has been working in the broadcast industry since 2001 for companies such as Aardman, the BBC, National Geographic, Endemol and SBS. She cut her teeth in post production in London’s Soho before moving into distribution where she headed up the marketing department at National Geographic’s programme distribution arm. Time spent reviewing and selling other people’s programmes made her realize that she was on the wrong side of the fence and she left the heady world of cocktails and conference calls behind for the blood, sweat, tears and sleepless nights of factual production. Her first production job was on the MTV Europe Music Awards in Rome where she was the only Italian speaker on the production team and was well and truly thrown in the deep end. She’s never looked back. She has since worked on a wide variety of factual programmes, most of which have been produced for prime time slots on terrestrial channels. Her recent credits included Louis Theroux, Coastwatch Australia, Destination Flavour, Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railway Journeys and One Born Every Minute. In 2014 Margaret spent the year working in a senior management role at online action sports broadcaster EpicTV.
