Margaret is a producer with bases in London and Tasmania. She has been working in the broadcast industry since 2001 for companies such as Viceland, the BBC, National Geographic, Endemol and SBS and now runs Mozzie Films. She cut her teeth in post production in London’s Soho before moving into distribution where she headed up the marketing department at National Geographic’s programme distribution arm. Time spent reviewing and selling other people’s programmes made her realize that she was on the wrong side of the fence and she left the heady world of cocktails and conference calls behind for the blood, sweat, tears and sleepless nights of factual production.

Her first production job was on the MTV Europe Music Awards in Rome where she was the only Italian speaker on the production team and was well and truly thrown in the deep end. She subsequently worked her way up from production co-ordinator to line producer, working on a wide variety of factual programmes. Most of her experience has been on factual programming produced for prime time terrestrial broadcast. She has extensive experience with travel programming, often sending crews into remote, dangerous and difficult to access corners of the world.

In 2014 Margaret spent the year working in a senior management role at online action sports broadcaster EpicTV. She then moved back into TV production on to work on larger scale and ground breaking productions, including National Geographic’s biggest budget factual commission to date and some of Viceland’s first programmes, before eventually setting up Mozzie Films in 2017.
